Cartoon

by Steven Yockey
directed by Mark Routhier
February 2-March 10 | WEST COAST PREMIERE

"Steven Yockey's musical comedy about cartoon violence suits Berkeley's Impact Theatre perfectly—it's fast-paced, funny, and drenched in pop culture.... If you see only one play about cartoon characters killing each other this year, make it this one." East Bay Express

About the show

A wild ride through the seamier side of the Saturday-morning animated world, Cartoon is a devilishly violent social commentary about the mindless killing that happens around us every day. A young upstart named Trouble steals the giant hammer that the dictatorial leader of the cartoon characters uses to keep everyone in line. Chaos ensues. Bombs go off. Anime girls fight. Killing, killing and more killing. Oh, yeah—and it's deadly funny, too.
